Course Information

Our foundational courses are LAE 3005 and LAE 6714. Using a genre approach students read, write about, and share recently published, multicultural books. At the graduate level we offer specialized courses in children's literature. New courses include Multicultural Literature, International Literature, and Literature in Educational Settings (numbers currently being assigned). We offer a seminar, LAE 6616: topics have included African American Children's Literature, The Picture Book, and Children's Literature for Social Justice.
